Local Audio Books

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

No data collected

Local Audio Books does not collect, store or share personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. App Store privacy label: “Data Not Collected”.

What stays on your device

Your libraries, listening positions, bookmarks, favourites and the podcasts you follow are stored only on your device (and in iCloud Drive folders you choose yourself).

Network requests

The app connects to the internet to browse, stream and download from Internet Archive (LibriVox, Project Gutenberg), Wolne Lektury and the podcasts you follow; to search Apple’s public podcast directory and charts (search terms you type are sent to Apple); to refresh followed podcasts; and to fetch cover art, including from Google Books for books without one. These services receive the usual technical data of any web request (such as your IP address) under their own privacy policies; the app sends them nothing that identifies you.

Files

The app only reads folders you pick in the Files picker. It never uploads your files.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
